Stable Way is an Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) Facility, and full service riding stable. Enhance your therapy program with EAP! Bring you clients to our new facility to provide a powerful, effective, interesting and fun therapeutic alternative.
What is EAP?
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is an emerging field in which horses are used as a tool for emotional growth and learning. EAP is a collaborative effort between a licensed therapist and an equine professional. Because of its intensity and effectiveness, EAP is considered a short-term, or "brief" approach.
Who Benefits?
The treatment is experiential in nature - clients learn about themselves and others by completing tasks involving horses, then processing feelings, behaviors, and patterns.
It addresses a variety of mental health and human development needs including:
- Behavioral issues
- Attention Deficit Disorder
- Substance Abuse
- Depression and Anxiety
- Grief and Loss
- Eating Disorders
- Relationship Problems
- Communication Issues
